You notice we are almost always looking at "The Man in the moon if the moon is full?"

 It's because the moon does not rotate. I have another question I cannot answer. Do all moons not rotate? And if they don't rotate. Why?

Possibly the answer is that a rotating object might be too unstable to maintain an orbit around a planet?

This might be the reason right there.
