The maximum cases per day last winter was 252,000 per day and we just reached 254,000 omicron cases per day now too nationwide testing positive. However, hospitalizations are way way down from last year and deaths haven't risen above 1400 per day now also nationwide. About 60% of the cases now nationwide are Omicron and most of the rest are Delta which is the real killer. So, I'm thinking most of the rest 40%? are Delta deaths?
Since they now expect the biggest rise in cases will come from the first few weeks that public schools open this is something to think about too before the schools are all forced to close once again. Maybe not sending your children back to school right away might keep you and your family safe from Omicron?
