How does this work?
Some of the most prolific angels we find around us are our relatives who passed on before us. They come back and work with and for their families to make sure everyone survives and prospers in their lives. I have been very aware of friends and family that have passed over during the years coming back to help me always. I also am aware of many people I knew growing up in my church also coming back to help me and my family since now I am a patriarch of my own large family now too. So, we all help our families in any way we can whether we are living or whether we have already passed on.
This is how all this continues to work here on earth and likely will remain so ongoing.
