Why do I think this?
Because if you study the 1918 Spanish Flu that killed 50 to 100 million people on earth until 1920 (for two years) it is possible that Omicron is the last one that might be bad.
Why?
Because after 2 years the Spanish flu began slowly to die out. The first winter it killed most of the people after starting the previous spring (like 2021). But then, the next winter it killed about half as many people.
And if you notice instead of losing 3500 people a day now we are only having about 1400 people a day dying instead. So, in this way it is about 1/2 of the people dying as last year much like what happened in the 1918 1920 Spanish Flu.
So, my hope is that Covid just becomes another endemic type of Cold or Flu and doesn't kill as many people from now on.
Here's the thing:
A virus doesn't really want to kill ANYONE. Why?
Because if it kills people it cannot spread enough.
A Virus wants to spread. So, killing it's hosts stops the spread.
So, as a virus evolves it wants to find a way for people not to die so it can spread better to more and more people because the virus wants to live and killing people is counter productive to a virus' long term survival here on earth.
For example, The spanish Flu of 1918 still exists on earth it's just that people became immune to it mostly.
Do some people still die of it? Yes. But not many worldwide per year.
So, Covid might be going the way of the Spanish flu which is still endemic after about 100 years now.
But, it doesn't kill many people now worldwide at all.
So, this could be what happens to Covid-19 too starting this next year or so.
But, We'll See. Because no one knows for sure yet.
