Khan Academy
I saw this statue in Los Angeles when it was there with the Summit University Group of students I was with on a field trip. I'm not sure where we went but it likely was one of the Los Angeles Art Museums. It was a truly amazing experience to experience this sculpture in person then in 1977.
They say that this image was created between 100 and 300 AD in Asia of the Maitreya Buddha.
