It is useful to think of the oceans as gigantic energy Heat storage batteries worldwide

And from energy can come almost anything over time when enough energy is stored somewhere.

Then heat tends to rise whether it is in the ocean or in the air. So, when this heat from the sun stored in the oceans rises it often rises in the forms of wind and rain or even eventually snow depending upon the time of year. So, the more heat in the oceans the more rain, snow, and wind is going to come up out of them into the atmosphere and affect all weather on earth in good and bad ways.

But, mostly it will affect weather in different ways than now. OR it might be much more of the same only more intense. So, where there is rain now there could be much more rain now or none at all. And where there is wind now there could be much more wind because of the heat rising faster and faster off the oceans.

The land gets hot from the sun during the day but this dissipates usually at night when the sun goes down. So, it's really the oceans that are the true energy batteries that accept heat and light from the sun that generate the storms and the intensity of the storms worldwide.

So, as the polar ice caps melt it makes the seas warmer and warmer and if you live near an ocean you notice warmer weather fish and sea life are moving further and further north now every year because the oceans are warming further north all the time and this is also happening to the south near the pole there as well.
