They expect more trees to come down likely Thursday and Friday here on the Norcal coast

I'm glad I drove home Monday because it's been raining for some time already now but lightly. So, this kind of rain is mostly beneficial.

However, the rain Thursday and Friday will likely cause flooding. However, we are up on a hill and not in a flood plain so we should be fine. However, the winds and the flooding rain will weaken the soil so more trees likely will come down in the heavy winds and rain. But, then again, this is the time of year that this happens here along the coast almost yearly now so we should be ready for it.

However, if you are visiting especially Thursday and Friday anywhere from the Golden Gate Bridge to Bid Sur stay away from the beaches so you don't get swept out to sea on a Rogue wave that comes in much further than you are prepared to deal with.

We lost 3 tourists the last really big storm.

That storm brought a 100 foot tree into our yard just before Christmas and broke the railing around our Hot Tub.

I was trying to fix the railing better  today but our neighbor already replaced our broken fence from the 100 foot tree and cleaned up our yard through the landscapers already. They already bucked up the 3 foot diameter tree  and hauled it away after using a chain saw to cut it up into rounds. They also cleaned up all the branches and debris. So, it's only the railing that I need to more permanently fix. However, I'm not sure they make the Timber Tech Plastic Wood in the Redwood color and design that I bought about 5 to 10 years ago now when the deck was installed. So, we are trying to figure out still how to replace the rails in a more permanent way that works for us long term.
