Writing: It's important to write down what's on your mind lately so you can find ways to cope and live through all this

By putting down your thoughts about everything you might be able to make better decisions in the future. Not having some sort of plan for the potential Great Recession or Great Depression could be a disaster for you and your family. So, thinking about how you are going to survive Trump and Musk in some kind of realistic way could be the difference between whether you and your family survive all this or not.

So, write about what you are thinking and feeling whether you publish what you write or not. Then when

are more calm in the future reread what you wrote and   you might be able to come up with some solutions to your survival problems you are encountering in various ways now.

My solution in 1980 was to buy inexpensive land without electricity or phone lines to it. And to homeschool my children for 5 years there after building us a house myself along with my friends and my father who had just retired then so he could help us.

However, these are different times than those because that was 45 years ago and I was only 32 years old and married with three kids living out on the land as a way to save money during the 10% unemployment in the country then.

So, different times often you need different solutions to your problems.

But, writing down your thoughts will often lead you to solutions in your life.

Just worrying alone accomplishes nothing.

Without practical solutions survival might not be possible to the world conditions today.

This is something to think about.

Also, Praying helps too.

By God's Grace

There is nothing so bad that no good may come of it: Part of Descartes (the French Philosopher's truism)

It is my fervent hope that Good can somehow come out of all this Tariff Business for the world and for the U.S.

Trump is doing something so extreme with tariffs that it hasn't been tried since Herbert Hoover which resulted in the Collapse of the Stock market in 1929 and people jumping out of skyscrapers who had bought stocks on margin and were ruined financially so they killed themselves.

Many older people have died since Trump was inaugurated because they see the "Great Depression" in the offing he might be causing now.

However, it is my fervent hope that SOMETHING Good can come out of this.

"It's an Ill wind that blows no good"

Which is another old saying regarding the times we live in.

So, I'm hopeful that some people can survive what Trump is doing here on earth and I hope millions don't have to starve to death or worse during these Crazy times we are presently living through.

Why would banks tend to fail because of Trump's Tariffs?

Let's start with Farmers selling soybeans to China. They needed the subsidies from the Government to grow these soybeans for China. Then Trump and Musk ended these Subsidies and cut them off.

Then Trump is putting a 54% tariff on all goods coming from China. Then China will do the same.

So, then these Soybean farmers in the U.S. go bankrupt and lose their farms because the subsidies that they needed to stay in business are gone and now the market in China for their soybeans is now gone because the revenge tariffs from China put these soybean farmers out of business and they lose their farms because of no income.

Will some of them survive?

Of course those in the best finanical positions might regroup and grow something else for people here in the U.S.

Many many of these farmers could lose everything and not be able to pay their loans to stay in business this year which will bankrupt them and they might have owned these farms for 100 years or more.

This will be repeated hundreds or thousands of times across the country in many different businesses and the non-payment of debts of loans to banks will likely start causing banks to fail from what Trump is doing within the next 2 years or sooner.

Which Banks failed during the Great Recession? Trump might be causing Bank Failures soon in some areas of the U.S. later this year or after

What Trump is doing will likely cause bank failures this year or the next too sort of like during the Great Recession. The hardest hit were local banks but also bigger bank chains also failed because of the underwater adjustable rate mortgages when people walked away from them and declared bankruptcy.

The cause of the Great Recession was bad loans with adjustable rate mortgages that failed those who had those mortgages so they walked away from them and declared bankruptcy instead of continuing to pay those mortgages. This caused many banks to fail. Bad loans not well thought out with adjustable rate mortgages caused the Great Recession and this caused banks to fail.

AI Overview
During the Great Recession, a wave of bank failures occurred, with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) closing 465 banks from 2008 to 2012, including the largest bank failure in US history, Washington Mutual.
Key Points:
  • Trigger: The Great Recession, which began in 2007 and became a full-blown crisis in 2008, was triggered by the collapse of the housing market and the subsequent failure of risky mortgages and subprime loans.

  • Bank Failures: The FDIC closed 465 banks from 2008 to 2012.

  • Largest Failure: The seizure of Washington Mutual (WaMu) on September 25, 2008, was the largest bank failure in US history.

  • Other Notable Failures: Other notable failures included IndyMac Bank and Colonial Bancgroup.

  • Causes of Failures: Many banks failed due to holding large amounts of mortgage-backed securities, which pooled subprime and other poor-quality loans.

  • Investment Bank Failures: Investment banks like Lehman Brothers and Bear Stearns also experienced failures, Lehman Brothers filed for bankruptcy and Bear Stearns was acquired by JPMorgan Chase.

  • Government Intervention: The government intervened with bailouts and other measures to stabilize the financial system, including the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP).

  • Impact: The failures and the overall crisis had a significant impact on the financial system, stock markets, employment, and economic activity.

The last president (Herbert Hoover) to do what Trump is doing with Tariffs accidentally? Caused the Great depression worldwide

By gumming up the economic engine worldwide with Tariffs it is going to kill millions of people middle class or below just like the last Great Depression did starting in 1929 during the crash.

The closest thing to that likely was the Great Recession from around 2008 to 2012 that actually had even worse fundamentals than the Great Depression did. Luckily we had Bernanke at the Fed who had studied the causes and effects of the Great Depression so he was able to help us avoid another Great Depression or worse then 2008 to 2012.

Here is the low of the STock market in 2009 which was the lowest it went during the Great Recession:

begin quote:

The DJIA hit a low on March 6, 2009 of 6,469.95. On that same day, a regulatory report indicated that the 5 biggest banks still had large risk exposure due to derivatives that could fail.

Global markets also tumbled after Trump’s massive tariffs imposed on practically all goods coming into America

Recession Fears Grip Wall STreet from World Wide Tariff War started by Trump

 begin quote:

I was thinking about Uncle Tommy Travels Time

My father graduated High School in 1934 and joined the Marine Corps Reserve then with his brother so they could be gunners in Hellcat biplanes in the Marine corps reserves on weekends. They did this from 1934 to 1937 so they had finished their military service before world War II began. My father got married when he was 21 to a 17 year old girl he met while working on Grand Coulee Dam in Washington on the Columbia River along with both his brothers Bob and Tommy. Bob was his older brother and Tommy was his younger brother. They all drove dump trucks moving rocks and earth to build the dam then. So, Bob and Dad were over with being in the Marin Corps Reserve in Seattle by 1937 and likely in 1937 Dad turned 22 which means he married his first wife while at the Grand Coulee Dam working with his brothers there. So, Uncle Tommy Travels Time took place while he was in the Marine Corps Reserve from 1934 to 1937.
