I think confidence in the U.S. under Trump is basically gone on an economic basis regarding the world. Only an insane maniac would do what Trump and Musk have done so far to the economy. Even Musk thinks Trump is crazy regarding Tariffs which also destroys his businesses interests in various ways. 

However, it's also true that Tesla and Rivian are the two most American made cars of all cars sold in the U.S.
