Though living in California is more expensive (especially Gas and rent) I think people might survive better here than in other states

 Why?

Because there is a sanity here in California that doesn't exist in other states right now with Trump's policies. For example, you might still get emergency care in a real emergency in most other states now. But, in California there is something called Medi-Cal which allows people who e even own businesses to have some medical care. I even was able to use this in the 1980s because of owning small businesses then for my family. So, this way people are less likely to die in California from Trump's policies than they are in most other states right now. 

But, the drawbacks of course are things like Gas and Rent. However, food is usually more reasonable if you buy it from markets than in most other states too. But, it can be more expensive depending upon what restaurants or fast food places you eat at too. 

However, since we have 4 growing seasons or crops per year in California and because you don't have to ship over 600 miles anywhere in the state for produce or fruit they tend to be less expensive in California if you are buying from a farmer's market or Supermarket than in other states.

Also, California is friendlier towards people of all nations with Green Cards living here too than most other states and it also a much less racist state in General than most other U.S. states too.

So, if you can afford the rent and the high gasoline prices this might be a better way to stay alive right now than in other states where Trump is killing people in various ways now through his policies.

And I think within the next year or two this will become even more true than it is now as things get worse and worse from Trump's policies for most people in the U.S. that are not super rich.
