If someone close to you passes away often finding a good Grief Therapist is important

For example, when my present wife's mother passed away my wife was not prepared for this at all. Her mother passed away at age 74 which my wife thought was way too young at the time.

So, she became very angry that her mother had been taken from her and I got pretty worried about her especially because our youngest daughter was only around 2 1/2. Also, during the previous year I had almost died from a heart virus as well. So, I just found out that I wasn't going to die from my heart specialist and that I might have a more normal lifespan myself.

So, we both started seeing a Grief psychologist who eventually morphed into a couples counselor over time. However, the first couple of years we saw him together he was a grief counselor for my wife primarily and I was there to help support her in coping with the loss of her mother.

So, I was grateful that we were able to keep my wife alive and functional through all of this for not only her own sake but also for my 2 1/2 year old daughter's sake and myself as well as the rest of her relatives and friends.

By God's Grace
