Our Deck has been wet in the morning the last few days

If you live on the ocean in California this is really good news in regard to preventing fires. Because at least for a few days after this everything is too wet (the trees, the grasses the lands) for a fire to easily start. I live in a pine forest and redwood forest and oak forest on the ocean. So, anything that keeps our trees from burning is good. It's now about 40 years since the last big fire happened close to where I live so this is good too.

What I found strange is that Pacific Pallisades burned down like it did and the Eaton fire also in Los Angeles County also burned down because Pacific Pallisades is right next to the ocean. It's not directly on the ocean only because Pacific Pallisades is behind cliffs next to the ocean so to get to the ocean likely you would have to drive 1 to 5 miles or take a bike or something to get to the ocean from Pacific Pallisades because of the Cliffs there near Santa Monica and one of the few places down to the beach from the cliffs is a street Called Ocean Avenue which cuts down a cliff into the ocean. I remember going down this road and swimming at Santa Monica Beach as early as 1954 when I was 6 with my Aunt Eloise and her son who is 5 years older than me. This was quite a treat for me because I mostly grew up from birth to age 4 at least in Seattle where it rains a lot and usually isn't that warm (at least then it wasn't warm much). However, Global Climate changes have drastically changed the weather all over the earth with all the floods and fires everywhere now.
