You UNDERSTAND THE WORLD BY LEARNING TO UNDERSTAND YOURSELF first

I have met many people who are afraid of themselves. I used to be like this too. I felt like a Wolf sort of out of control often from 15 to 25 years old when my son was born at age 26.

I tried to read Steppenwolf by Herman Hesse and I couldn't do it because the wolf inside of every man scared me too much at the time. I think I just hadn't fully come to terms with the fact that humans are domesticated animals which is something you don't get by being raised a church going Christian.

But, until you accept yourself as a domesticated animal you really cannot go very far in life because you are too afraid of yourself otherwise in some kind of religious context where you think of yourself in some strange not useful way.

So, until I could come to terms with things like the Darwin Theory of Evolution versus the Creationist theory I really was sort of confused. However, learning to cope with these different views of reality helped me stay alive through my 20s to where I am now at 77 years of age.

Many things can be true at the same time in life.

There are aspects of the Creationist theory of life that might be useful and there are aspects of Darwin's theory of evolution that might be useful.

But, in the end they are both theories at best or even hypotheses and not necessarily the full story about life here on earth or throughout the universe.

Being able to get to this place I found incredibly valuable in choosing to be alive here on earth.

Because being alive here on earth is an obvious choice to me. All animals and people are this way at core.

Do you want to live through what you are going through right now to possibly get to a better place in your life?

This last question is everything in life.

In the end I answered this by soldiering on past 25 until I became a father and a husband at age 26 and at this point I realized my life was about my wife and son and not so much about me anymore.

And I felt incredibly relieved for some reason about this too.

So, if you start by understanding who and what you are as a being here on earth you begin to unravel the mysteries of life enough to where you can choose to continue being alive on this Crazy planet we call Earth in the Galaxy we call "The Milky Way".
