Of course I could be wrong and what I'm seeing is a normal lull in travel before Thanksgiving and Christmas before High Season in the Hawaiian Islands is from January to April which is when most people tend to come here to Hawaii from the mainland and all over the world.
But, on one level it is a perfect time for my friends and I to come when it isn't quite as busy as it can tend to be other times.
When I originally asked for November when my wife was planning I wasn't thinking about November being the first month of the rainy season especially for Kauai the Garden Isle which has made for some cloudy or rainy days here. But, the slightly cooler weather for me has been nice. It's often still 75 degrees at 6 am even now.
However, when we swam a Lydgate partk I noticed that the breeze was a little chilly so it was actually warmer to stay in the water than to get out and face the breeze. So, I stayed in snorkeling longer than I originally planned and dragged my wife along the surface water while I walked along the bottom for extra exercise while she snorkeled next to me.
There was also a lady in a wedding dress with her new husband holding her white train and them taking off shoes and walking along the beach barefoot for some good pictures there along Hanalei Bay which is a really beautiful place to take pictures by the way because of all the rain and greenery.
For example this is what the weather report says about this area:
For example, the lows are between 72 and 74 degrees each day into the future
begin quotes:
- Air Temperature: 77°F (feels like 81°F)
- Humidity: 74%

- Conditions: Mostly cloudy, with a 10% chance of rain
- Water Temperature: 80°F (ranging between 78°F and 81°F)
