What is an example of Idiot Compassion that might kill you?

The best example of this might be the following that I can presently think of.

If you are a compassionate person you might want to help everyone you meet.

However, you can't because if you do you will have no food to eat and no place to live yourself.

For example, you see a homeless person but then deny your fear because something doesn't feel right but you go up to this person and give them money and then they stab you because you didn't listen to your instincts that told you that this person was too dangerous to help.

Or if you give away everything you have you have nothing and then you die because you have given everything away.

This becomes suicide for you.

Practicality is everything in life but it must be combined with Compassion or else it is destructive to both you and others.

So, I think Buddha was right when he said to become a King Buddha so you can help everyone you know or meet or see.

So, in saving yourself through becoming enlightened you also are moving towards saving all others as well.
