47 at 10 am in Mt. Shasta but an hour ago it was 37 degrees Fahrenheit?

I woke up to frost on the roofs of buildings here in Mt. Shasta and it was obviously in the 30s then. However, the high today is supposed to be 57 here which is much better than the 37 degrees about an hour ago here. My daughter and her family will likely arrive from Oregon today so that will be nice.

We have sort of settled into our hotel room because Mt. Shasta is always like a 2nd home for us in many ways. For me, it is a spiritual home all my life that I visited at least once a year for 1 to 2 weeks every summer from age 5 to 21 years of age and I lived here with my first wife for the first time in 1974.

Hawaii is another Spiritual home for me especially Maui and Kauai. My wife's favorite Island is Kauai but because I actually lived on Maui in 1989 and 1990 I like Maui a lot. So, these are the two islands we visit the most since our honeymoon on Oahu and Kauai in December 1995 after we got married in Yosemite National Park at the Chapel there.
