We drove our own car and since my daughter's car was in the shop the dealer gave us a 2025 car for them to drive up to Mt. Shasta and Oregon in which I thought was amazing. However, one of our housekeepers' was telling me how they don't really pay for these cars (the dealerships) until they actually sell ones like this as demonstrators and loaner cars and also workers at these dealerships use them a little like rental cars often too.
So, anyway the 5 of us in 2 cars made it to Mt. Shasta last night through the Tule Fog and both cars were surprised at how little traffic there was because people didn't want to be in a fog pileup like you see this time of year various places around the country from low visibility on freeways.
But, luckily nothing like that happened today. Besides one of the cars (not mine) left at 4 am to miss the Morning rush our traffic through the SF Bay area and then we left about 10:30 am which allowed for a lot of the really bad Tule fog with zero visibility to burn off a little leaving mostly higher cold (brrrr! fog to drive through. We found ourselves putting jackets on in the cold moist wind in the low hanging fog but at least we could still see several car lengths in front of us by noon or so near Benecia and Benicia Bridge heading north to Mount Shasta.
I woke up for a little bit at 2 am and took a time lapse photo of Mt. Shasta because the clouds had cleared away from it enough to get a good night time photo.
So far so good this time traveling north.
By God's Grace
Here are some great Time lapse photos of Mt. Shasta at night from Google Images:
