As of
December 26, 2025, approximately 9,200 customers
remain without power across the San Francisco Bay Area following a
series of winter storms. While total outages across PG&E's entire
network involve about 41,225 customers, local restoration efforts have significantly reduced the numbers from a peak of over 125,000. The current impact by county and region is as follows:
- San Francisco County: Power has been largely restored following a massive substation-related blackout earlier in the week. Current reported outages are minimal, with roughly 298 customers still affected as of this morning.
- North Bay: This remains the hardest-hit area, with approximately 4,800 customers without power. Sonoma County accounts for a significant portion of these outages.
- Peninsula: About 2,200 customers are currently without electricity.
- South Bay & Central Coast: Several thousand customers are still in the dark, primarily in the Santa Cruz Mountains and parts of Santa Clara County.
Restoration and Resources:
- PG&E Progress: Over 654,000 customers have had their service restored since the storms began on December 23.
- Real-Time Tracking: You can view specific neighborhood status on the PG&E Outage Map.
- Bill Credits: PG&E has announced automatic bill credits of $200 for residential customers and $2,500 for businesses affected by the major San Francisco blackout earlier this week.
