We still don't have power here on the coast too. And I'm worried our generator is starting to make loud sounds so I'm not sure ours is going to last through this power outage either. So, one moment at a time I guess for everyone on the northern California Coast and from basically San Diego to Vancouver British Columbia.
This is a never ending atmospheric River it seems since Tuesday night.
Note: later 8:30 pm Christmas Day:
I was worried our generator was going to cut out on us leaving us in the lurch. So, we turned it off for a couple of hours so that it might recover. It turned out that likely what happened is some of our gas might have gotten some moisture or water in it somehow. So, eventually when we added more gas it wasn't running so rough. The above was happening before the sun went down around 3 pm but now the days are slowly growing longer so sundown is now 5 pm and days are getting longer now since December 21st Winter Solstice.
So, alls well that ends well (at least so far).
My wife was told that P G and E was reconnecting us tonight at 6:30pm. Nope!
About 4 of us are headed south towards San Diego where they live tomorrow.
