are americans arming themselves more now because of Trump? YES!

Though people of all political persuasions are arming themselves as never before it is especially evident   among liberals, LGBTQ+ individuals, and people of color seeking to protect themselves, while others arm due to general concerns about political volatility.

The volatility of this present moment because of Trump's insanity is beyond anything in my present lifetime and I was born around 1950. And this is true all over the world Partly because of Trump and people like him in other countries as well.

And it is likely to increase many fold worldwide as long as Trump is in power here in the U.S.

This is why the doomsday Clock witnessing potential end of humanity is in it's worse phase ever since 1947 RIGHT NOW!

Based on reports from late 2025 and early 2026, there is a noted surge in gun purchases and training, driven in part by fear and perceived instability following Donald Trump's return to office. This trend is particularly evident among liberals, LGBTQ+ individuals, and people of color seeking to protect themselves, while others arm due to general concerns about political volatility
.
  • Rise in Diverse Ownership: Contrary to the traditional image of gun owners, groups catering to progressives, LGBTQ+ individuals, and minorities have reported significant surges in interest and membership, with some reporting a 40% increase in membership in late 2025.
  • Fear-Driven Purchases: Many new owners cite a fear of rising political violence, potential actions by right-wing militias, or a feeling that the country is becoming increasingly unstable under the administration.
  • Policy Impact: The administration has taken steps to weaken federal regulations on certain firearms, such as removing tax stamps for silencers and short-barreled weapons, making these items easier to acquire.
  • Historical Context: Research suggests gun ownership often increases during times of political change, with this trend reflecting a broader, long-term trend of, distrust in institutions and a feeling of instability.

The surge in 2025–2026 echoes, and in some areas exceeds, the panic-buying trends seen in earlier, contentious political periods.
