Movies that are perfect pretty much. (That I have to watch some or all of it frequently)
The one that sticks in my head probably the most lately since it came out in 2010 is:
Knight and Day(2010) with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz.
I think what is perfect about this movie is the plot and two really good actors.
First of all, they meet in an airport which is cool. Then her father got her into rebuilding older cars including I think it's a GTO she is rebuilding. Then He is an Eagle Scout. and the rest is just "Well" sort of a perfect plot (at least for me) especially the first half hour or 45 minutes of this movie really does it for me. So, it's the perfect escape movie for me to jump into if the world is throwing fits so I forget anything bothering me with a good movie fantasy.
Another movie I sometimes watch (about once a year is) Cast Away(2000) with Tom Hanks which helped me a lot when it first came out to recover from a bad divorce emotionally in 1994. So, even though it's 6 years later the trauma of that divorce was still hell for me to deal with. Being cast adrift after a plane crash emotionally made incredible sense to me at the time and sometimes about once a year even now I will watch it for a variety of reasons.
However, it might be important to say I remarried a new lady in 1995 and we have been together 31 years now and married 30 years so life is good.
But, that doesn't mean breakups (especially 14 year marriages) aren't hard to survive at all.
Another movie I like to watch once every 1 to 5 years is Eldorado with John Wayne and James Caan which I think was James Cann's first big movie at that time. Eldorado came out when I was 18 years old in 1966 likely in my last year of High School while I was in Santa Fe, New Mexico at a boarding school then. It was my first time living away from my parents and strangely enough it really made me appreciate them much more than before I left from Glendale California to go to school there.
