The 1950s were one kind of adaption mostly because I was a child and so telling people what I thought wasn't useful very much. I thought the world was pretty depressing and crazy in the 1950s. However, then by 1960 when President Kennedy came into office he was relatively young man and he and his wife were more interesting and people called his time in office often "Camelot" which for the U.S. might be appropriate at those times.
Then President Kennedy was assassinated and people majorly freaked out because it was sort of like Pearl harbor all over again for people here in the U.S. We all knew we couldn't trust the government anymore because our government (J.Edgar Hoover) for one was directly or indirectly involved in the assassination of Kennedy along with Russia and maybe Castro and the Mafia. So, we all knew we couldn't trust the government anymore after that.
So, this is a lot of what the 1960s were about including the Viet Nam War.
Then the 1970s on one level were okay but on another level we had the Arab Oil Embargo which made gas go from 20 cents a gallon to 1 dollar a gallon by 1980 or for example now, 3 dollar gas turning into 15 dollar a gallon gas with similar results to now.
then the 1980s changed so something else where people started to become survivalists and start to prepare for the End of the World more from everything that had happened since the Great Depression and World War II.
Then the 1990s became a more hopeful time for people when President Clinton was President.
Then Bush got in and 9-11 happened and all HELL broke loose again and things have been pretty strange ever since.
So, the easier times of the 1990s are gone now for about 30 years and the whole country is a mess now because of not only everything that has happened but the corruption of our government by people like Trump and Musk have sort of turned our Government into a Russian Corporate Oligarchy and away from a Democracy more than anything else.
So, what happens next?
I think it's up to every one of us here in the U.S. and the world what actually happens next.
The future will be what all of us on earth make it.
So, don't expect other people to change things unless you are changing them too to something better.
