Especially as winter comes on once you are past 75 years old what things actually mean can change a little or a lot for you

What do I mean by this?

I think sharing the following will help you understand this better. My father passed away and 69 and I'm now 78. My grandfather passed away somewhere between 80 and 85. My Great Grandfather almost made it to 100 in Kansas on his farm. My great Grandmother (his wife) lived to be 105.

I think now you begin to understand more what I'm talking about here through my writings.

Though with medical  AI I might be here at 100, 500 or even 1000 years old just like you might be too, we have all watched our relatives and friends pass away one by one.

So, for example, there have been likely as many as 1000 people I have known well and loved as friends and relatives that have passed away now since I was a boy in the 1950s. I was 12 in 1960.

So, in some ways the nearness of Death I think is why  people change after about 75 years old no matter who they have been before this because of all the people we all have lost by age 75.

Some people can handle this loss better than others where you lose your grandparents and then your aunts and uncles and parents and then by the 2000s I started to lose my cousins one by one too until I have only 2 cousins I'm still in touch with in California and one in Washington state.

Also, historically more people died in winter time than any other. So, for example, my wife and I just got our flu shots today because this helps a lot in staying alive after age 60 or 65 especially. Because just the common flu takes out more elderly people than possibly anything else in life.

And so as we enter into the winter that is coming we all (over 75) take this much more seriously than we might have before because we are all getting up there in age and already lost a 1000 or more people each that we knew growing up in the 1950s and 1960s. I was 21 in 1969 for example.

And here I am at 78 in 2026. It's been a long road so far with many different adventures always in my life.

So, I'm grateful for every moment I have left.

By God's Grace
