Intuitive fred888: Mayday(2026) is a really great movie with Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh at Apple TV Streaming!

So far, we both liked it so much we have seen it twice. Another one worth watching twice is Practical Magic 2 but we want to wait until Halloween or after to see that one again.

Both my wife and I liked Mayday(2026) better the 2nd time we saw it tonight by the way. Really Great Movie!

It takes place in 1987 in the old Soviet Union mostly.

Apple TV’s new movie Mayday (🌟🌟🌟🌟) is one of the biggest surprises of the year. You guys know that outside of Chris Evans, there’s no actor I’ve been more critical of in the last 5 years than Ryan Reynolds. I’ve taken @VancityReynolds to task more than any other actor alive. But Mayday proves that, sometimes when a performer does the same schtick over and over (and over) again, what that actor needs is a great scene partner to make it feel fresh. Reynolds remains guilty of playing the same character he always plays- there’s no running from that. But one man elevates this entire operation: Kenneth Branagh. Branagh’s performance is not only a joy to watch on its own, it’s not only a reminder that Branagh is dripping in charisma, but it’s a strong enough performance to lift Reynolds above a critic like myself, creating a dynamic that’s fun and exciting to watch. Pair that with a truly laugh-out-loud funny script and a handful of great action sequences, and you get a really enjoyable strea
