It sounds strange but it was 75 out on our deck but because of reflection off the house and the deck it just got too hot to be outside on my deck today. The design of the deck and the house means even in lower temperatures you are pretty warm on the deck even if it is 57 to 65 degrees outside. But, at 75 it felt like it was 90 or 100 degrees today and so it was time to come inside where it now feels about 15 to 20 degrees cooler than it did outside.
However, I'm really grateful not to be in southern California in all the smoke today! However, the last 3 or 4 days have been the most beautiful beach weather since I was in Hawaii in November of 2025! and that's here on the Northern Coast which is unusual too.
Heat advisory for Southern California from Long Beach to the border with Mexico:
* WHAT...High temperatures in the upper 80s to the mid 90s expected.

Areas.
* WHEN...Until 8 PM PDT this evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase during hot temperatures.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Low temperatures will be in the high 60s to
low 70s.
