Real life is hard enough. Why would I want to stress myself out conquering unimaginable worlds on top of real life?
I used to be an adrenaline junkie as a young man but that mostly had to do with riding off road motorcycles, racing cars and stuff in the real world. I suppose it's also true that it's physically safer to take risks online but it doesn't really work for me. I would rather do things in real life rather than just in an imaginary world like flying a plane, driving fast in a car or motorcycle or rock climbing. However, those days are mostly over for me because I'm 78 now.
For example, I gave my last motorcycle, a KLR 650 2009 to a friend last year who builds 1930s Indian Motorcycles for parts and sells them for 60,000 to 200,000 dollars by collecting parts all over the world and assembling them for people. He sent me a video from Southern California of my bike running again which made my heart feel very good.
A year ago I couldn't lift the bike but likely could now since my naval hernia surgery but now I worry about staying alive for my wife.
I heard about a guy 84 or 85 still riding his large motorcycle but I'm thinking this guy either is single or doesn't care that much about his girlfriend to do this to her.
Our housekeeper's son bought a motorcycle and sold his car which I didn't think was a good idea at all especially this time of year. She was worried he was going to die on this motorcycle because he is about 20 years old but still living at home. I said that I thought he would be okay because this is the worst time of year to buy a motorcycle simply because he will freeze to death riding it at night anywhere under 60 degrees Fahrenheit. It turned out I was right because he likes to ride it at night and came home recently so frozen he could hardly believe it. Then the bike broke down and all his friends and he were trying to fix it. I said to her: "This bike will likely never run again because you don't need all your friends (who are not motorcycle mechanics) you need one good motorcycle mechanic and since they cannot afford one of these this bike likely isn't going to run again (if ever) until they get a real motorcycle mechanic who knows his stuff. Also, his surfboard got broken too but he is a really great surfer too. So, who knows where it goes from here?
However, it's also true that my son and his son (now 12) are really into video games and stuff like this even though now my son is more into make Music AI Videos at this point. However, if they wanted me to play a video game with them I would but they were into really involved stuff then like Minecraft for his son when he was about 9 years old and then more advanced things since then. So, they both are really into computer stuff whether it is video Gaming or AI Music Videos.
My son likely knows more about AI than anyone I know presently on earth.
His most amazing statement is: "There soon will be more AIs than people on earth."
And the reason this is true is that AIs are now designing and building new AIs themselves at an astounding rate worldwide. There are literally an infinite amount of potential AI specialized AIs possible to build according to either your imagination or the AIs imagination themselves as they program and create newer and more refined ones on into infinity.
So, the ability of AIs to design and build infinite specialized AIs is likely the most necessary for regulation at this point worldwide.
Will it be regulated properly?
I think at least a million people will have to die in one day or one week or one month for people to take all this as seriously as it needs to be taken. Then there either will be regulation or ALL AIS WILL BE DESTROYED PERMANENTLY AFTER THAT "One of the two of these things is inevitable the way things are going now!"
