Captive Breeding of Bees.Though chemicals, cell phones or other factors still unknown might be causing that mass demise of bees there is something else that is fairly obvious to me.

Because humans selectively breed the bees and choose who gets the royal jelly and who doesn't and have done this at least as long as I have been alive they have interfered with natural selection. Beekeepers, not being educated in this way might not be looking in this direction. However, I firmly believe that they need to return to the wild to find bees who have lived without humans for 25 years or more. Then they might be safe to take these genetically more survivable bees and not have the kinds of problems they are having now with man bred bees which I believe would be inferior in health because of man's interference with natural selection in nature.

Life is for the Living!

Life is for the Living. They say life is cruel. In some ways that is true. Without pragmatism as an adult survival is very iffy and problematic at best. yes, love, family and friends are important to stay balanced in ones life. But without choosing life every day over death one's life tends to auger in consciously or unconsciously.

So life is a choice we make every day. Once one stops choosing life they begin to depart from the living. So remember to choose life, not only for yourself each day but also for the people you love. For without you, they might not choose life either.

Gold: $1000 an ounce?

Gold:$1000 an ounce? Even though people who bought Krugerands when gold was 300 to 400 dollars an ounce might be happy, I think it is more realistic to say that the falling dollar has more to do with the price of Gold than any other single factor. If I factor in the approximate 25% drop in the dollars value in the last 5 years against the euro, gold would actually be about $750 and ounce which I believe might be more realistic way to look at the price of gold. The same is true with the price of oil in dollars. My wife was reminding me that the British pound sterling was about $2.50 in the 1970s during one of our last recessions and since it is around $2.00 right now it reminds her of the 1970s and early 1980s in its price against the dollar. So many recession factors of the late 1970s and early 1980s are similar to now.

The Third Jesus

The Third Jesus.I was reading a chapter from Deepak Chopra's book "The Third Jesus". This chapter is called, "What would Jesus Do?". I found it for free online, this particular chapter by the way. I found his point of view refreshing because he is originally from another culture, East Indian, and therefore his take on American Christianity I find to be much more objective than what I or any other American might think or feel.

I recently wrote an article called, "My Childhood" to describe my experience with people trying to scare me into believing in their Jesus. Since they described so many different Jesus' I could only either reject them all or find my own Jesus in order to make sense of things. I found my own Jesus that I don't think is owned by any sect, protestant or Catholic through my own need to survive in a physical body on earth. Jesus kindly came to me and turned my room into golden healing light at age 5 and healed me. I never forgot this blessing and kindness so now I often commune with Jesus since that time. However, I don't commune with a terrifying Jesus. I commune with a very kind Jesus that helps children survive terrible illnesses and who comforts the old and the sick. My Jesus is kind to all who treat all beings with kindness. Because in the end all beings in the universe are one family, Jesus' family.

Australia's failed Wheat Crop is due to drought. I'm sorry I don't have a source or URL for you here but I was reading last night online that the biggest single reason that the world has the lowest food stores since 1979 is that the severe long term drought in Australia killed most of their wheat and other grain crops.

Since Australia is second only to the US in Wheat and grains grown as a nation on earth this is very serious for the world because of droughts in Africa and various other places as well as the incredible snowstorms that killed many of the crops in China.

Inflation is up 23% in China right now in most foods. In fact, pork has inflated almost 50% in China. China is even worried about serious social unrest because of high inflation in regard to food.

My Mother

My Mother. My mother hasn't recognized me or known who I was for around 2 years. However, today, while she was watching a movie on a big screen tv at her resthome in her wheelchair I asked if she knew I was her son. She nodded "Yes" and touched her head to mine in recognizing that I was family and her son. I told her that I was praying for her every day and she seemed more peaceful after that since our family has our own way of praying for each other. I told her she had three grandchildren ages 33,19 and 12 and that she was 89 years old and that her mother had lived until 90. I didn't tell her that her two sisters had each passed away at 90 also because I thought that would be too much. However, as I left she seemed at peace once again the way she used to be before senile dementia robbed her first of her personality, then her memories, then her ability to walk and now finally her ability to talk to me. However, I knew she finally remembered me once again and that gave me peace, something I have not had in relation to my mother for around 2 years. As I walked outside the rest home I found myself breaking into tears and a terrible weight lifting off my shoulders of the last 2 years.

Clinton-Obama, Obama-Clinton

Clinton-Obama, Obama Clinton. Those who have studied Presidential elections probably are coming to the same conclusion as I. Unless the ticket is Clinton Obama or Obama Clinton the damage to the Democratic Party will be considerable longterm. That is not to say that Obama or Clinton might get elected simply because for example, in January both Obama and Clinton each raised about 130 million each to McCain's 50 million. So if you add both democratic candidates donations in January you wind up with at least 260 million to McCain's 50 million which is over 5 times what the republican candidate raised. However, that is not what I'm addressing here.

If either Clinton or Obama is left out the party may take 20 to 30 years to recover, I believe. Just like the Iraq war and the Afghanistan war has bankrupted the US treasury and harmed the republicans thereby, in a similar way if women or blacks are denied their candidate then there WILL be Hell to Pay within the democratic party for years and years to come.

Childhood

childhood. When I was little(4 to 8)years old I can remember not knowing quite what to do with Jesus. Many of my schoolmates brought their religions to school then and everyone, almost but me went off part of the day to their Catholic time or their Methodist time, or their Baptist time or their Epicopal time or whatever. It was just a normal part of every school day in public school in Los angeles County, California. I sort of felt left out because my religion that my parents were in was too small to be represented like this and so I got left out.

I went with friends sometimes to visit their churches and was fairly frightened by Jesus, nailed to a cross and blood coming out of him. Then most protestant churches just had crosses with no one nailed to them and no Mary so they seemed kind of dead and stale to me whereas the Catholic church was scary because blood was coming out of Jesus all over the place. So I sort of got the idea that all people in religions were kind of crazy including my own parents.

I sort of put people in two categories nuts and normal. What I found strange as a child was that there were normal people who went to church and normal people who didn't. These normal people that I sensed weren't crazy and might be safe to be around I tried to make friends with because the world was a pretty scary place to a little child.

I couldn't make any sense at all out of what kids told me about their religions. I knew they didn't know what they were talking about because they were just parroting what other people told them in trying to scare them into believing in God. I thought life was scary enough without crazy people trying to scare poor children into believing in God. Oh, I was good at saying what people wanted me to say. That was how you didn't get beaten and still had some freedom and got candy and bicycles. But I was never stupid enough to believe most of what adults told me. I was always intuitive enough to sense whether they actually believed what they were saying or whether their parents had just scared them into saying the right things too.

So, I began to classify adults into grown up children and people who actually knew what they were talking about. This I found was very important to my ongoing survival.
I was surprised how many grown up children there were and just how few adults knew what they were talking about. I think this realization scared me more than anything.
Because as a child I was the potential victim of any adult in the 1950s.

However, back then I was expected in many ways to be as responsible as an adult by age 6. By age 8 I was supposed to be safe with a rifle around other children with rifles (.22 rifles) and sometimes I was if there was another adult supervising.(I got shot by a BB gun in the leg by a friend and it turned purple through my jeans the size of a quarter but it didn't draw blood but I never saw any person get shot by a .22 caliber rifle. I saw many lizards and rabbits and birds die but luckily never a person. This was the way it had been for hundreds of years and only changed during and after the Viet Nam War when I was in my twenties.

Jesus only made sense to me when I watched movies like "The Robe" and the one that Jeffrey Hunter made on the life of Jesus. Then Jesus made some sense. But otherwise I just saw a lot of people fighting over which Jesus to believe in. I guess in some ways this is how I still see most Christian religions today. I believe in the Jesus I talk to since he appeared to me and healed me when I was 5. That is the Jesus I believe in still and that is a personal experience of Jesus and I don't think he has anything to do with any organized religion. He just comes to people one by one.

The 4 Pressures now on Earth's populations

The 4 Pressures now on Earth's populations. Though there are many more pressures than this on earths billions, these are the most serious ones that I now see.

1.Overpopulation
2.The end of oil
3.Global Climate Change
4.Iraq and Afghanistan

Which in turn have created:
The lowest food stores worldwide in 30 years
which has created:
Food pricing for starvation
which is creating
food and water wars worldwide

Because of all these factors it is very likely that up to 1/5 of the present level of population of earth will die from starvation, lack of good potable water or exposure during the next 20 years on earth.

In the past 100 years world population was relatively manageable and relatively stable. However, with overpopulation and the end of oil(that is easily attainable at low prices), Global Climate Change and Iraq and Afghanistan bankrupting not only the United States but the free world it is now inevitable that up to 1/5 of the humans on earth will die of starvation, lack of potable water and exposure to the elements over then next 20 years on earth. The real sadness is that there is little at this point that anyone or any group can actually do about it! I'm writing this in the hope that one or more of you might have some useful workable ideas to help solve this problem! For without some practical solution all of us will have to watch while up to 1 billion people die during the next 20 years! And unfortunately at the end of 20 years it could then get worse. Being aware of this problem might help to actually create a workable solution over the next 20 to 50 years!

Since in some places in the third world prices have risen 80% this is very serious for those already starving displaced people in Somalia and throughout the third world. Also, because food reserves are at their lowest in 30 years worldwide prices likely will continue to rise. I believe, whether it is reported or not, the beginning worldwide recession will create more people dying of starvation on earth than ever before in recorded history. The problem is that with food reserves so short only the richest nations will weather this food storm well. The likely result will be many individuals and groups and nations fighting over food in multiple ways just to survive the next few years.

Have Democrats murdered the Election?

Have Democrats Murdered the Election?Sadly, I'm beginning to think the answer may be "YES". Whose idea was it to run the first serious black contender with the chance to become President against the first serious female candidate who actually has a chance to become President. Either you will have all or most black people not voting for a candidate or you will have all women over 40 not voting for a candidate. The anger runs very very deep regard to these two groups. It is almost like something out of Karl Rove's playbook saying, "Boy. Wouldn't this screw up the democrats to run these two against each other?"

I believe the democrats have been blindsided by a women's lib candidate facing a Black Candidate conundrum. The Blacks won't vote for Hillary and the empowered women won't vote for Obama. It's a disaster for the democrats. The groundswell of younger voters don't realize the conundrum because they haven't been around long enough. But I'm almost 60 and have been voting in every presidential election since 1968.

When Obama said today something like, I'm running only for President not Vice President ,what older democrats heard was,"F--- you, Grandma Hillary, it's time for a change." For younger democrats the answer might be "Right on, Obama!" However, for democrats over 40 it would be an incredible slight against the old guard of Hillary and Bill that he wouldn't even politely brush it off. No, it's "F--- you, Hillary. I'm running for President." The sad outcome of his reaction simply will likely be that she has to keep running to the convention. There is now and will be rancor I'm afraid. The party has just fractured. This awful conundrum is right out of Karl Rove's playbook, Democrats! How could you let him divide and conquer you again with so much at stake?

According to my reckoning using the 5 year and the 1 year graph, as of today the dollar has slid about 14.4% during the last 12 months but 25% (both approximate) during the last 5 years. Obviously if it only took 12 months to go 14.4% down apposed to 4 years to travel the other approximately 10% down then we are in a lot more trouble than most believed last summer on multiple fronts.

Tibet and Tibetans:Past and Future

Tibet and Tibetans:Past and Future. I should say ahead of time that I have been proud to call many many Tibetans, especially during the 1980s my friends, both in California, Oregon, India and Nepal. I thought to be fair I should say this to you before I get started.

Tibetans in Nepal and India I found to be among the most precious people I have ever met on earth. Because of having to survive above 8000 feet in elevation they tend to be very physically hearty and very intelligent and pragmatic and very good business people because anyone who wasn't pretty much like this died in those environmental stresses a thousand years ago.

If they are direct from the countryside of Tibet and haven't traveled much they might seem to be fairly naive about the world but then again that is true of most country people all over earth who don't have TV's, newspapers or radios that much or public education so this is not unusual. The same likely would be true of country people of most nations in Asia, Africa or South America.

The plight of Tibetans still inside Tibet is likely to be similar in some respects to the Native Americans in the US from the 1800s to the present. Though it makes me very sad to say it I feel it must be said.

Until enough economic success is had by the average Chinese person and until China gets something resembling a US or European type Democracy, Tibet is very unlikely to have anything resembling being its own state or having independence. Though this is a sad fact I'm afraid it is a fairly pragmatic one. I don't think the Chinese could be goaded by conscience into returning Tibet to Tibetans just like the Cowboys of the 1800s were not going to give back Indian land to the Native Americans. It just wasn't part of their nature. Furthermore, unless the US and Europe were willing to go to war with china and I know they wouldn't go to war for that, Tibet and Tibetans will find themselves more and more marginalized and sad.

So, what I'm trying to say is that sometimes it is important to realize what one can change and what is relatively impossible to change in order to have a sane and useful life. However, if a Tibetan Ghandi shows up and is successful then God Bless Him or her. I just don't think the Chinese because of their history of the last 500 years would be open to the kind of conscience and shame necessary to give back Tibet to the Tibetans and the Dalai Lama. Understanding this in a pragamatic way Tibetans can find ways individually and collectively how they want to deal with this sad state of affairs on earth in regard to Tibetans.

I feel the greatest gift the Tibetans have given to the world is the Dalai Lama and his Nobel Prize for Peace and all their cultural (both pragmatic and spiritual) wisdom .I know this wisdom has worked for me and given me both hope and insight into a better future when I had no hope at all for a future for mankind. Now, through studying with several Tibetan Lamas I think in terms of 500 to 1000 years like they tend to rather than just today or next year or 5 years the way most Americans do. For this long view I am very grateful. I hope what I have said here will help Tibetans somehow into a brighter future.

India and Nepal afraid of China

India and Nepal are afraid of China.Tibetan protestors who had planned to march during the next 6 months all the way to China to protest what is happening to Tibetans in Tibet were stopped right where they started in Dharmsala because of extreme pressure from China on India. The same thing has happened to a demonstration and march to the Chinese Embassy in Katmandu, Nepal.

It appears China's growing strength and military is stopping people in their tracks from being able to publically express their true feelings. It is creating a world where Big Brother is preventing true expressions of feelings worldwide.

It is beginnning to remind me of what happened in Europe before Hitler took over Europe. In this case China may be only economically set on controlling the world through business and economic pressure. The US is particularly vulnerable in an economic sense right now as well. However, militarily at least the US is still number 1.

The Wind

The Wind. Since I was writing "It's the Water" I realized I owed you the other reason to eventually live above 5000 feet elevation most of the year. As a precognitive psychic as I look forward through time the one eventuality of Global Climate change that humans are the least prepared for is the wind. During the next 300+ years the winds will slowly increase. Yes, at times there will be extreme winds of 200 mph even now on the planet in Hurricanes and the like. However, I'm speaking of something more regular above 100 miles per hour in many places on earth that aren't very mountainous and that are below 3000 feet in elevation.

We already have had tornadoes in the United States this year that came so fast there was no warning and at least 50 people died overnight here in the United States. Something like this hasn't happened that I know of for at least 50 years. And that was before early warning systems were in place to give people the time to reach shelter. However, this particular group of storms came so fast at a time most people were asleep(2am to 6 am) that many died or were injured because of the incredible speed of the storms.

Unfortunately, I believe over the next 100 years these storms without enough warning to reach shelter will become more and more common in many areas and people will have to weigh how important it is to stay where they are for family or friends or whether their lives are more important. This is something people have always had to do during climate shifts as long as mankind have been on earth. So it is nothing new to the human race.
