I went ahead and had Giron emf shielding put on my 2007 Prius at the auto upholster's shop last month. I bought 10 linear sq. ft. And it just covered the entire carpet area when removed. The shop said they had to rivet the Giron because it would not glue. Having cancer in remission, I took the precaution of installing the material. Total cost with installation was about 700.00. I'll be ordering 5-10 more ft. To complete the rear seat and back of Prius. Better safe than sorry if you can afford it. What prompted me to post this was the loss of symptoms since the the Giron was applied. For about a year I have had sore joints and awakened at night with painful, numb hands. Recently the pain occurred during the day also. Today as I was walking I realized the pain was gone. Could it be that I was having a reaction to the emf's from the car, and the Giron shielding has stopped the problem? Anyways, if you have any symptoms such as painful joints, numb and painful hands, and own a hybrid or electric car, I would suggest getting the Giron and see if that solves the problem

Did the Prius contribute to my developing cancer only scientific data of al hybrid and electric drivers and there rate of incidence of cancer can prove that. But like cigarette smoking, drinking coffee, and driving any car with high emf's, probably the more you do of any of the mentioned the higher your chances of developing cancer like problems. The simple solution for the Prius is to insulate the wire harnesses so they'll be a safe car without a doubt.

what is it made of? do you mind me asking you what it cost? thanks!

As more and more people want to prevent cancer from driving Prius' and other hybrids and electric vehicles you will begin to see more and more of this until car manufacturers do it for people.

I remember way back when when people first installed burglar alarms in their fancy race cars so the cars or engine out of them wouldn't be stolen. Often the alarms would go off and no one could turn them off and they were very noisy. Sometimes then just walking by a car would set one off too. It was pretty crazy then in regards to car alarms.

Another thing people used to do before SUV stationwagons in smaller vehicles started. Originally people had to buy something like a Suburban stationwagon 4 wheel drive. But, often if you had a big power plant you might get 4 to 12 miles per gallon. So, people started buying toyota trucks and cutting out the back window and part of the metal and putting seats in the bed of the truck and making them fancy with specially made camper shells big enough for people to sit back there comfortable but still be able to talk to the driver and front seat passenger while driving. This eventually became the first Toyota 4runners. My wife had one of the first few years of these in 1989 when we met with the most off road tires I had ever seen. I finally told her they were too off road and weren't really safe on the freeway. So, eventually she changed them to being a little less extreme and off road. She liked to go out to Saline Valley before we met to visit friends and go in the hot springs there in the winter time.

So, like this, people are going to all start to put lead lining inside their vehicles between themselves and generators or electric motors or alternators. Because the ones big enough to drive a car could give adults, children and pets various kinds of health problems and even cancer over about 10 to 20 years of driving an electric or hybrid car.

The carpet sized EMF protectors or Electrical Corona protectors wouldn't be enough though. You might have to take off your dashboard and find a way to put something under your dashboard too if you could for full protection. Also, you would want to take out the front and back seats in  Prius type of vehicle so you have protection from all electric motors and all Alternators or generators. So, you don't want your face or body to be in a straight line with any powerful electrical device either generating power or a motor releasing power. Because both kinds of devices put off an EMF or Electrical Corona. So, finding a way to shield yourself completely might be a real exercise that only a mechanical or electrical engineer could solve. One possibility would possibly be to wrap all electrical devices in emf blocking material. However, that might damage the electrical generating or motor device and cause it to burn out because of how electrical fields interact with surrounding metal in a vehicle. However, they are also changing the dna in your body and mutating it enough to change the dna and possibly cause cancer. The other problem is it could also mutate human egg and sperm as well and possibly cause birth defects as well as a direct result. I don't personally know of any studies on this yet.

However, I did find this article from I believe France and Germany which is very useful in it's scientific study of Electric powered vehicles both hybrids and full electrics:
