Fifty Shades of Grey (2015)

If you haven't read this book and go to this movie "Get ready to be jerked around".

I am always interested in what makes people tick. So, I found this movie a very interesting psychological study of two people, one dominant and one somewhat at times submissive. Even though, as time went on it might be harder to decide which one is dominant and which one is really submissive in the end.
I think just like Twilight it is a very different genre. Likely for women especially you are going to see a whole lot of movies trying to copy this type of one.
However, it reminds me a lot of movies made just after World War II of troubled PTSD men and the women trying to keep them alive and win them. So, in this sense it reminds me a lot of the 1950s when there were the most men like this who had seen people all blown to hell and were trying to live with it.
I don't know (even after seeing this movie) what caused him to be like this. But, that just makes me want to see parts 2 and 3. So, in this sense we are all voyeurs watching this movie around the world. And it says something about the kind of growth mankind is going through right now in our quest for meaning and survival in life.
