Why is finding peace so important?

Each person must find their own way to peace. For me, it came from going into the wilderness like Jesus and Buddha did 2000 and 2500 years ago and becoming one with both the wilderness and the infinite through the stars and the whole Galaxy. When you do this deeply enough you are permanently changed by it and you move towards peace in your lives.

Having been raised mostly from about age 6 in Los Angeles County I found living in suburbia and the city made people mostly kind of crazy. So, every chance I had I went with my parents or when I learned to drive alone or with friends into the Angeles National Forest or to the ocean or to Yosemite or to Mt. Shasta where I could find peace (at least while I was there). But then, when I got married I found ways to actually move to Mt. Shasta in 1976 and then again in 1979 and I met my 2nd wife there with her two kids from her first marriage there in 1980. So, IN wildnerness I always found God. Seldom did I find God in any church or people. I found God pretty much exclusively in wildnerness and at the ocean or in the ocean or when mountain climbing or skiing or cross country or mountaineering skiing. Sometimes I found God even riding off road motorcycles across the desert too.

The whole thing is not just obtaining peace but also maintaining it. This doesn't come easy by the way for most people.

For me, I had moments or days of peace when I was young (under 40). But, I began to find ways to lengthen those moments of peace into days, weeks, months and sometimes even years where I felt at peace and my health increased because when I am at peace I eat better, I treat myself and those around me better and it therefore extends my life and I become a more and more permanent instrument of God all the time.

So, staying centered is very important. Learning to stay calm in your heart of hearts in any situation including when someone is injured or dying is very important simply because if you are centered and calm you can help them either stay alive or out of their body and into a heaven realm better.

Learning to not be fazed by injuries and deaths or anything else you find yourself more valuable to all forms of life by staying centered and able to care for people in any kind of situation that might arise to keep them alive or to help them to a heaven realm if they pass.

By God's Grace
