More men on earth drive vehicles for a living: Cars, Trucks, big trucks, machines more than any other job.
However, slowly or quickly all that is going away from all men on earth.
If you understand that this is coming this century or even maybe by 2050 or sooner then this is a serious serious thing fro all mankind. Because there will likely be riots worldwide or even wars caused by this disruption around the world of so many men losing their livelihoods.
Even Uber plans to go completely self driving within a few years. There won't be anymore truck drivers (anywhere on earth) by 2100 likely (unless people make laws against self driving cars and trucks in some countries).
And this is ONLY the tip of the iceberg of the problem of automation during the 4th technological revolution.
Even if the present generation is allowed to retire their children won't have new jobs that are driving vehicles anywhere eventually because of self driving trucks, Cars and machinery. This will become true in the air at some point too with computers flying planes instead of pilots. Even now in most passenger planes pilots only take off and land because the rest is automatic pilot.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
