If you want Trump to be gone Biden might be your only realistic hope. But, if you want to be a Circular firing squad like the Democratic party often is, then your candidate likely will lose and Trump will be re-elected.
Basically, from my point of view Biden and Trump are the only two candidates at present that could have any possibility of winning the election in 2020. This could change but that's pretty unlikely (at least at this point.
There are just too many relatively unknown candidates running in the Democratic party. Trump knows this too. His only serious rival right now is Biden.
So, if your rhetoric takes down Biden then Trump wins. At least at this point this is what is actually happening folks.
