Why do people believe what they believe?

Conditioning and the fight against conditioning.

This is the reality we all face.

So, after we are over about 15 we can decide to condition ourselves to believe whatever we want to.

Before this it is more difficult but sometimes people break away from their conditioning at any age.

At age 18 or 19 (this happened to my present wife and I both by the way) we each imagined (at different times because we hadn't met at this age and she is 7 years younger than I) what life would be like without God in it with no real meaning or purpose to life at all. When we did this we both realized that to remain like this would be suicide.

So, out of a sense of wanting to stay alive both of us decided it was useful to our survival to believe in God.

We also watched many of our friends self destruct and die because they didn't make this choice too.

But, this is something each of us has to decide for themselves. Because this is the way life really is.

Note: There is something about the human psychology that makes it necessary to believe in God (or parents when you are a child) in order to stay alive and prosper in life I find.

People who don't have this are often vulnerable when someone dies around them or when they get sick or when they lose a spouse to death or divorce. They often don't have what it takes to make it through difficult times without their beliefs in God and Angels.

This is my observation after living 71 years here on earth and traveling the world.

I have watched so many people die that didn't need to the last 71 years of my life. I am saying all this from experience.

May God Bless You!
