Swine flu goes person-to-pig; What's next?

If pigs can be infected by humans, can humans be infected by birds, or can birds and pigs be infected by humans? In other words can all three infect all three? Because if they can this is a very scary state of affairs for all three because of the mutative nature of viruses over days, months and years.

This second article is about birds dying on the Northern California Coast. Even though scientists think at present that birds are dying in large numbers because of starvation I think a second look at whether they were or are infected with h1n1 flu virus might be useful for all humans to know.
