We woke up to a traditional Scottish Breakfast served at our Bed and Breakfast in Aviemore in the Cairngorms. We found out soon about a Reindeer center for children and adults that my daughters and wife wanted to visit. Soon, we saw children being pulled by Reindeer on a cart that had wheels put on it for the non-ski season. They were training young reindeer simply by pulling them behind the cart so as they grew up they would be familiar with the adults they grew up with pulling carts and learning that they would one day do this too. I also, fed one of the reindeer in an enclosed paddock lichen and moss which was this particular reindeers favorite thing to eat. My family got many pictures of this, Previous to this we took the Tram (train) up into the Cairgorms. This is used by skiers also during the winter. When we went out on the Terrace at the top there it was whited out with clouds with 50 to 80 mph gusts at around 45 degrees Fahrenheit while slightly raining. The gusts felt like you were going to fall down as they changed while we were outside. Later we had some hot chocolate and looked out the window. One of these times it opened up so we could then have a temporary beautiful view of about 30 to 50 miles to the north of mountains and lakes (lochs) of the Cairngorm area.
After that we drove to Inverness and had a meal at the Castle Tavern Pub up on a hill there. After that we drove up Loch Ness until it widened to a mile or more across. There were two foot waves or higher coming across it from the West during the storm there. We walked down steps from the road and touched the water and sat on rocks watching the waves of Loch Ness Crash to shore. Then we hightailed it for Aberdeen where we were to meet up with friends.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
