CHINLE, Ariz. (AP) - About 50 people in northeastern Arizona evacuated by floodwaters earlier this week have returned to their homes.
The affected areas included Chinle, Rock Point, Many Farms and Tohajiilee.
Navajo Nation officials say Chinle had 22 people from five different families evacuated.
They were put up in hotels at the tribe's expense after Wednesday's flooding and returned to their homes Friday.
Seventeen people stayed at a Navajo Nation shelter in Chinle that the American Red Cross Grand Canyon Chapter supports.
At least 47 communities throughout the Navajo Nation have reported flooding, with up to 80 homes in the flood area.
The Arizona Republic says Chinle is the most affected area because it's at the bottom of a mountain.
There have been no reported fatalities or serious injuries from the flooding.
