Santa Ana Winds in Southern California
With southern California entering into a Santa Ana Wind condition this means it is extremely dangerous for the whole region right now because the small fires that started today or yesterday likely aren't 100% out. So, this means that the winds (usually 50 to 100 miles per hour winds) off the desert could whip up firestorms and throw lighted embers for miles. So, hopefully that doesn't happen. But having grown up from age 8 to 21 in Glendale there were fires that burned down the homes of 10 or more of my friends when I was in junior high and High School from these Santa Ana winds which regularly occur without much warning in southern California.
