Hell-o
again! Tina Fey took a moment to throw a little shade Taylor Swift's
way at the Golden Globes Sunday night. It was so subtle you may have
missed it.
Tina Fey tests Taylor Swift's ability to take a joke once again.
It was so subtle you may have missed it.
"I just want to say congratulations again to my friend Amy Poehler," co-host Tina Fey improvised when returning from a commercial break after Poehler's win for best actress, TV comedy or movie. "I love you. And there's a special place in hell for you."
Swift was less than amused after the 2013 Golden Globes, when Fey and Poehler remarked on her love life in their opening routine, telling Vanity Fair contributing editor Nancy Jo Sales, "You know, Katie Couric is one of my favorite people, because she said to me she had heard a quote that she loved, that said, 'There's a special place in hell for women who don't help other women.' "
"I did not see that one coming," Tina Fey told Entertainment Tonight at the time. "It was a joke. It was a lighthearted joke."
No word yet from Camp Swift on Globes Jokegate 2014, but if we may offer some advice to Ms. Swift: It's hard to get the last laugh against a comedian. Especially if they have emceeing duties.
