46 degrees at sunset on a northern California Beach
This might not seem very cold to you at many places here on the mainland in the U.S. However, this is likely the lowest temperature I have seen since about February or March (earlier this year) at sunset because temperatures have been much higher than normal. We should have seen temperatures like this starting around Thanksgiving, but not this year. So, here we are on December 26th with a temperature like this for the first time. It's 43 as I write this and supposed to go down to 36 tonight which is as low as it's been since likely February or March of 2014 too. And about 10 miles inland it is supposed to get down to 34 degrees tonight.
