Why I chose not to learn martial arts as a young man

First of all, I was already by age 15 over 6 feet tall and likely already about 6 foot 2 or 3 then. By my early 20s I was almost 6 foot 5 inches. On top of this I am half Scottish so I'm big boned and capable of lifting heavy weights without damaging my back or skeleton in some way. I used to easily just pick up the front end of my  1965 and 1966 VW bugs and spin them around to get them out of mud or snow quite frequently back from 1966 until around 1974 when I sold my last one to move to Hawaii with my wife and baby in August 1974.  So, often if people ran into me by accident because of the size and strength of my body they would just bounce off me and fall on the ground. Also, if people hit me often they would injure or break their hands with little or no damage to me.

So, I came to realize that though I am very slow to anger, once I'm there I can be verbally or even in some cases be then  physically dangerous I decided that learning martial arts wouldn't protect me more than I was already capable naturally being myself and might endanger others. So, I chose not to learn martial arts as a way to protect others in case they did something to anger me at some point. So, out of an act of compassion for mankind I chose to not learn martial arts in this lifetime like I have in others, especially when I was a soldier in past lives before 1100 AD.
