I was searching for a replacement for "The Daily Show" now that Jon Stewart is retiring from it and moving "if he was serious to a farm in upstate New Jersey".
Anyway, I didn't find a replacement but I did find "Another Period" which would be sort of like if you took Downton Abbey, put it in the U.S. on the East Coast somewhere around 1900 or before and turned it into one of the zaniest comedies you have ever seen. I'm not sure if I like it or not but could see how a crazy show like this might grow on one. But, it takes some time to get used to. Some of the character actors (females and males) you will recognize from other stints on shows on TV as well.
It is on Comedy Central on Tuesdays at 10:30 pm where I live in Northern California. It is a very different and irreverent look at "Another Period" in East Coast U.S. History.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
