Drove Old McCloud Road to Lower Squaw Valley Meadows

When we got there we found the water wasn't coming low this year because of the drought. However, Bear Springs further back on the road was running fine and we found a large dog that was mostly all black that looked like it was a long hair German sheppard that had a Border Collie Mother. Great dog and very smart. Later the owner who was camping near by came up and was surprised her dog had come to the springs. I said that I had lost a dog with a similar temperament in  December and maybe her dog (a male) was drawn by the spirit of my dog traveling with me. She nodded as she was into spiritual things like me. Also, likely the smell of my other dog, my daughter's corgi might have been on me and my truck too. So, as her dog jumped into the pond and fetched sticks we talked for a while there. She also knew some of my friends in the area. Later we went to a Tibetan Stupa on the mountain that we know of and walked around it three times clockwise while chanting OM Mani Padme Hum just like we would if we were visiting a Tibetan Stupa high in the Himalayas or throughout Nepal or parts of India. With this mantra you are invoking the Buddha of  Infinite Compassion, Avalokitesvara.
