Walked from Lower Panther Meadows to upper Panther Meadows today

At upper Panther Meadows (yes, the road is open to Panther Meadows because it doesn't open every year because of snow some years) there is a spring that comes out of the ground near the Old Ski Bowl that is sacred to about 6 different American Indian Tribes and has been for hundreds of years. Mt. Shasta was always a Power mountain for all the tribes of the area and sacred to them all but especially this spring which is at around 8000 feet or higher. So, we walked up the meadows today. I was happy to see some water still trickling down the meadow even with this drought though I'm not sure if it still will be running in September and October this year unless more rain and snow falls.

However, there is still some snow on the mountain above 10,000 to 11,000 feet and higher so that is a good thing so snow and glaciers as still feeding springs all over the mountain on all sides. There were many people visiting Panther Meadowsj today from all over the world because Mt. Shasta is  world class famous Mountain all over the world now sort of like the Mt. Kailash of the U.S. So, many people come especially from Europe, South America and Asia and many of these were there today enjoying their tryst with the mountain.
