So, if guns are available if people are legally allowed to have them to protect themselves then teachers, professors and responsible students should take it upon themselves to "shoot back" at people who are shooting at students throughout the U.S.
However, even I wouldn't get into the middle of a "Gang War" if I knew it was going on. Because you might wind up dead later. However, if you are dealing with a lone gunman who is either crazy or a terrorist (same thing) then I think students and teachers and professors should arm themselves and train for such an eventuality if this is legal to do where you live.
So, if people already illegally bring guns to school because of Gang warfare arming students and teachers might not be the best idea in this sort of situation. However, lone gunmen are another story entirely to prevent mass shootings. They should be stopped anyway possible that people can think up.
For example, someone could shoot a Taser at a lone Gunman, which might prevent 10 or more deaths including the lone gunman.
I could envision a situation where a teacher or professor had a taser in their right hand and a pistol in their left. So, the teacher or professor shoots the taser with the right hand and if this works then that's it. But, if it doesn't he has a pistol in his left hand to finish the job if necessary.
However, the real test will be in being in the right place at the right time with the right equipment necessary to save the most lives.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
