Will there be more campus shootings?

Of course there will. This is why I advocate "shooting back" as a way to stop more shootings. However, this could also be a problem too in other ways.

Even in states where guns are allowed on campus it doesn't mean that police might not mistake the good samaritan for the shooter which the good samaritan might have just shot to protect others on campus.

Also, as schools are known for allowing guns on campus it might create a situation where shooters wouldn't go shoot people there also. So, shootings would only take place where students and teachers were not armed like in Grade schools or Junior high schools.

So, expecting shootings at public schools to end isn't realistic, just like expecting gangs to go away or shootings from gangs not to take place on campuses either.

So, ways to prevent more people from dying from being shot need to be implemented. Because of our gun culture guns are never likely going to go away completely here in the U.S.

So, realizing this and being therefore realistic about this is important.

So, how to do we reduce the number of deaths on campus?

The first way might be to take your kids out of public schools

The second way is to make sure someone (like a guard) on every campus is carrying a gun
openly, so there is more of a sense of protection there (whether the guard might actually be able to stand up to a shooter in the real world or not).

So, how do we reduce school shootings?

People think that by taking away legally bought guns from people that this will reduce the killings.

I don't believe this at all. At least not here in the U.S.

If legal guns are taken away then all the criminals will have guns and crime will increase exponentially wherever guns have been taken away.

Just look at statistics of areas that have legislated guns away from people in some cities.

The crime rate goes right up because criminals know they won't be shot so they break into homes
consciously at a much higher rate because they know that law abiding citizens won't have guns to shoot them with.

So, actually in cities where guns are legally taken away crime rates of burglary go way way up.

So, schools that have people with weapons legally owned might do the same thing and save lives as well.
