The Curse of the Jade Scorpion (2001)

  1. I have noticed this over the years as one of Woodie Allen's many Movie titles made in 2001. However, I hadn't seen it. It has the 1940s (It's supposed to be set in 1940) kind of feel to it like many movies Woodie Allen Grew up watching and like many I grew up watching in the 1950s too when I was a child on TV, usually in Black and White. So, there is for me a nice nostalgia to a movie like this with enough humor and tongue in cheek for it to be intriguing enough to watch. Also, Helen Hunt and a very young Charlize Theron are in it too which makes it worth watching too. Charlize Theron looks so different as a 40s rich blonde with the makeup then that it's almost hard to recognize her with the Veronica Lake sort of look going on.
