It is more likely that the human race could go extinct from technology than from any other cause

I titled this article because I want you all to think about this:

1. ISIS won't extinct the human race (unless they get a hold of nuclear weapons)
2. pandemics won't extinct the human race (but the could return us to the stone age without technology). The way this would happen is one or more pandemics wiping out 96% or more of the human race. (pandemics have done this is certain areas of earth before like Europe and Asia and also likely Africa. This also happened in history when white people came to North, South and Central America and around 96% of the tribes died from diseases like Colds, Flue, Smallpox and plagues brought over from Europe that didn't exist in North, South and Central America before.
3. Nuclear weapons (are technology) and could be one of the many forms of extinction for the human race.
4. Robots that are self-evolving also could be another form of extinction for the human race.
5. nanobots (where people become like the Borgs in Star Trek the Next Generation could be another extinction point for the human race.
6. Technology presently being designed right now or anything designed already worldwide but not used yet much or at all could also extinct the human race.

7. However, a world war is very unlikely to extinct the human race for many reasons unless a terrorist government comes to power or a dictatorship like North Korea (or possibly Iran) runs amuck.

8. So, technology as in a Technological singularity where humans lose control (in any way) of their technology they invent and it begins to evolve by itself without human help is the most likely way the human race could theoretically go extinct.

This is much more likely than any other scenario. Why?

Because all the old scenarios people are looking for the signs of every single day.

It's the ones people cannot recognize soon enough that could and might take us all out within 20 to 100 years time from any point in time from now forward.

Note: Here is one that is going to happen we just don't know when:

A Solar Flare hits as big or bigger than the 1859 Carrinton event. When this occurs is very important. The sooner this occurs the more likely the human race will survive it. For example, if it happened 500 years from now it could cause human extinction. How?

Because most flares don't last that long so it would fry everything electrical and make it inoperable on one side of the planet. All magnetic data and all hard drives above ground would be gone. Only NOn-magnetic media like Cds and DVDs and other non-magetic data would remain. All Computers, servers, laptops desktops, smartphones, tablets etc. would be gone permanently along with all hard drives and magnetic memory storage. Most planes with electronic means of navigation might crash with 60,000 to 100,000 in the air dead on that side of the planet.

Then the side of the planet not attacked might also attack the side of the planet that was hit by the flare. But, if this occured with nuclear submarines deep enough they would be able to fire nuclear weapons to retaliate so this might avoid a nuclear war or other wars even if most of our nuclear weapons and planes wouldn't work any more from that day on.

This last scenario WILL happen we just don't know when. Average time likely is once every 300 to 500 years down through history. It could happen any day from now on. This likely WILL happen within 500 years given past history of such events.

Sharing this with you is a kindness that might help prevent human extinction at any point now or into the future.
