King City 103 degrees Fahrenheit today

King City broke 102 degree record from 1935
Salinas tied old record in 1996 at 82
Oakland broke old record of 80 degrees i n1981

Santa Cruz county 85 to 100 degrees
Salinas Valley 82 to 103 degrees
Santa Clara Valley 94 to 100 degrees (All Fahrenheit).

So yes, it is likely that 2016 will be the hottest year in Northern California so far in history too.
This is pretty early for temperatures this hot to hit Northern California
