Although
they are related - Daenerys is Jon's aunt - marrying family members is
not a big deal in Game of Thrones. Furthermore, the Targaryens have a
history of marrying within their own ranks to preserve their bloodline.
Season 6 of Game of Thrones
solved an incredible amount of mysteries. From the origins of the White
Walkers and Jon Snow’s true parentage to how Hodor got his name, the
show answered more questions than ever before.
Now that the series is heading into Season 7, the biggest question
remaining is what will happen between Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and
Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke).
Will Jon and Daenerys get married once she gets to Westeros? Or will they battle it out for the Iron Throne?

Daenerys’ path to the Iron Throne is easier than ever. Not only is
Cersei Lannister’s hold on King’s Landing weak, but Daenerys has three
dragons at her side plus a horde of Dothraki warriors.
However, conquering Westeros isn’t the only item on Daenerys’ agenda.
After learning how to rule in Meereen, Daenerys knows that she will
need allies in Westeros if she wants to rule effectively. To accomplish
this, the Dragon Queen will need to marry into an important family.

majority of the great lords are either deceased, too young, or wrapped
up in wars to get married. This leaves Jon as the best option for
Daenerys and will increase her power greatly.
Although they are related – Daenerys is Jon’s aunt – marrying family members is not a big deal in Game of Thrones. Furthermore, the Targaryens have a history of marrying within their own ranks to preserve their bloodline.
Of course, Jon and Daenerys could end up as enemies instead of
lovers. Either way, these two characters are definitely going to come to
terms with each other next season.
Apart from Jon and Daenerys, Cersei’s reign in King’s Landing is also going to be a major plot moving forward.

prophecies indicate that Jaime Lannister might murder his own sister
after he finds out about the wildfire incident and Tommen’s suicide.
Speaking of family problems, USA Today is reporting that Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) and Jon might be at odds next season on Game of Thrones.
While Jon was proclaimed King of the North, he failed to give Sansa the proper acknowledgment she deserved in helping him defeat Ramsay Bolton.
With Littlefinger whispering in her ear, will Sansa turn against her own brother?
“[Jon] hasn’t actually learnt his lesson… he’s asking [Sansa] to
trust him, but he’s not listening and watching and observing her. I
think that could be a real problem for him,” Harington stated.

named King in the North and she kind of gets no credit for it,” Turner
added. “It’s not that she’s looking for praise or anything. She did it
because she wants revenge and also because she wants her home back. Jon
is so naive. So Sansa is just a little bit agitated is all.”
Meanwhile, Arya Stark made big waves during the finale. According to MTV, Arya returned to Westeros and crossed Walder Frey off her list for his part in the Red Wedding.
For those who have read the books, Catelyn Stark is resurrected and
begins a tour of vengeance as Lady Stoneheart. She eventually kills
everyone involved in the Red Wedding, which Arya is apparently doing
now.

Arya still has Ser Gregor Clegane (The Mountain) and The Hound to
kill, along with Beric, Melisandre, Queen Cersei, and Thoros of Myr.
Fortunately for Arya, most of these characters are currently grouped
together and headed North. This might indicate that Arya will travel in
that direction in Season 7 and check a few more names off her list in
the process.
The new season of Game of Thrones is expected to premiere next spring.
