This doesn't mean this is still true by the way because most of our oil is now pumped out of the ground just in the U.S. I hear now.

 

However, if Saudi ARabia and IRan were blowing all of each others oil tankers out of the water worldwide (especially in the Gulf of Oman and the Strait of Hormuz) I think gasoline and diesel likely would at least double in price here in the U.S. which Russia would love a lot because about 50% of the Russian economy is based upon oil prices.

One reason Venezuela is collapsing on itself is low oil prices. It's not quite as bad in Russia but it is also why they have an information war directed at the United STates to collapse our government and institutions because low oil prices combined with sanctions are really really hurting the Russian People and government a lot.

So, likely Russia might encourage things like Missiles from Yemen into Saudi Arabia in order to create a war with Iran which would then cause Saudi Arabia and Iran to blow up each others oil tankers full of oil in the Straight of Hormuz and the Gulf of Oman which would immediately double or triple oil prices worldwide except for places that have their own oil reserves like the U.S.

However, like I said before it is not in Russia's or the U.S. interests really for either Saudi Arabia or Iran to win such a war for a hundred different reasons. It is not in China's interests or Europe's interests either for either side to win.

Why?

Because whoever won would be too powerful on the world stage and then compete with Europe, Russia, China and the U.S. for power worldwide.
